Potential utilization of the laboratories

Temperature and climatic conditions that affect the product during manufacture, transport, storage and consumption, affect its properties, function and durability. Components must be function during a long-term even when are effected of harsh operating environment. It is therefore necessary to carry out tests to establish and optimize product quality.
Laboratory of climatotechnologies is equipped with devices designed for teaching, research and testing in the field of climatotechnologies and reliability. Climatic chamber are located here, which are designed to simulate real operating conditions and to implement accelerated reliability tests of various materials, as well as whole products.

Laboratories instrumentation

Apparatus of the laboratory is continuously renewed. Most lab's equipment is designed to simulate the harsh operating environment. We provide weather and corrosion testing of products, materials and finishes, including a comprehensive verification (eg, moist heat, dry heat, low temperature)

Heating chamber with forced convection WTB Binder FED 720

Heating chamber FED 720 is used for testing of materials and simulation of their aging. The FED chamber is a all-rounder. It has a virtually unlimited capacity and is at the same time particularly adaptable to the specific requirements of a large variety of testing applications. The enhanced time functions and the digitally controlled air turbine can be used to adjust ideal temperature parameters and recirculation air conditions. Temperature range is from 5 °C above ambient temperature up to 300 °C. 2 chrome-plated racks facilitate testing of samples in the chamber. Multifunctional microprocessor control MSC provides regulation and MSC is able to store up to 25 programs. Informations are displayed on a large LED display. RS 422 interface allows communication and remote control of the chamber. The chamber allows setting of temperature ramps and is equipped with independent adjustable temperature safety device class 2 (DIN 12880) with optical alarm nad with the fan output control.

  • interior dimensions: 120x100x60 cm - volume of 720 l,
  • load per rack: 45 kg,
  • permitted total load: 120 kg,
  • temperature safety device class 2 (DIN 12880).

Corrosion test chamber LIEBISCH KB 300

Corrosion Chamber Liebisch KB 300 is a climate chamber, which was specifically designed for condensation water tests with or without pollution gas (e.g. DIN EN ISO 6270-2, DIN 50018). Inner volume is 300 liters. Komora je určena pro stolní použití. V této verzi zajišťuje jak vodní kondenzační testy, tak i kondenzační testy v kombinaci s dávkováním plynu SO2 pro zrychlení korozních zkoušek. Stejně tak je vybavena ventilačním zařízením pro cyklické testy.

  • the content of water: 2 liters
  • maximal temperature: 50°C
  • testable standards: DIN 50017, ČSN 03 8131, DIN 50018, ČSN ISO 6988, ČSN EN ISO 11341 (673097) and others.

Climatic chamber WEISS 203392/80001

Climatic chamber Weiss Umwelttechnik is a device for temperature and climatic tests. This chamber allows you to automatically perform tests with temerature cycles.
  • Temperature range: -40 … +180 °C
  • Humidity range: 10 … 98 % r.h.








Low temperature equipment Frigera NZ-280/75

Nízkoteplotní zařízení Frigera NZ-280/75 je klimatická komora speciálně navržená pro testování odolnosti vůči nízkým teplotám dosahujících až -75°C. Tato komora byla vyrobena českou firmou Frigera v Kolíně. Její nespornou výhodou je velký objem pracovního prostoru a velmi nízká teplota v pracovním prostoru.

Measuring equipment for coating thickness mesuerament

The coating thickness gauge MiniTest 650 offers non-destructive measurement of all non-magnetic coatings on steel and all insulating coatings on non-ferrous metals.

Applications Non-destructive coating thickness measurement:

  • non-magnetic coatings, e.g. paint, enamel, chrome, zinc on ferromegnetic substrates (e.g. steel)
  • insulating coatings, e.g. paint, anodizing on non-ferrous metals (e.g. aluminium, copper)
Basic parameters:
  • Measuring range: 0 - 2000μm
  • Measuring uncertainty: ± (2 % of reading + 2 µm)
  • Minimum base thickness: 0,5 μm
  • Minimum measuring area: Ø 20 mm

Subjects taught in laboratories

Do laboratoře zabývající se klimatotechnologií se můžete podívat při výuce předmětů X13VSZ (Výroba silnoproudých zařízení) a X13EKP (Ekologie průmyslu), případně při práci na některé ze studentských prací, jako jsou práce bakalářské, diplomové, či studentské projekty. Laboratoř klimatotechnologie je také často využívána studenty doktorského studia.
